Year 1 Maths Tuition – Building Early Confidence

Year 1 is the first formal stage of Key Stage 1 maths. Children (ages 5–6) develop essential number skills and begin solving problems using simple operations. Our Year 1 maths tutors create fun and engaging one-to-one lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum. Lessons introduce numbers to 100, basic addition and subtraction, halves and quarters, simple shapes, and time. We use interactive methods, games, and real-life examples to keep children motivated. Parents receive updates after each session so they can support learning at home. By the end of Year 1, children feel confident with basic maths and ready for Year 2.
